Fairmont Hot Springs Resort
Hot Springs near Fairmont Hot Springs

This route makes sense for young active couples or friend groups who want a little bit of everything BC has to offer, without being in a large city. Mixed with a beautiful scenic drive this route is designed to get people into nature with a short 4-hour round trip moderate hike. Then rejuvenate in the hot springs and pamper yourself at the Fairmont before exploring Cranbrook and maybe do a little shopping.

It is a short 3.5hr drive that can be done at the traveller’s pace. They can decide how many days they want to make it last.

This route gives all control over to the travellers, who depending on mountaineering skill levels can alter how hard their hike is for if they stop at Diana Lake or use it as a base to do some harder hikes like the Judge.

If they just want to drive past the exercising they can go straight to the hot springs and hang out at the hotel for a couple days, drinking wine and beer and supporting some smaller, local shops and towns with a little shopping in Cranbrook.
